Centrebet - an easy to use sportsbook with great odds

Centrebet Sportsbook is especially popular with  bettors based in:  Australia
No residents of USA can bet at Centrebet

CENTREBET BEHIND THE SCENES

Having bet with Centrebet extensively over the last few years we can now advise that Centrebet has recently been taken over by Sportingbet. A strategic move to grow into new markets for Sportingbet, one of the world’s larger bookmakers. Sportingbet has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2001 and has more than 12 years experience in the industry.

Pre the Sportingbet takeover, Centrebet was a savvy Aussie bookie with great reputation for high limit flexible betting offers and a claim to being the first sportsbook in the Southern Hemisphere to accept bets over the Internet. They hold UK and Australian licences.

Centrebet is mainly popular with customers in Australia. It used to take punters from around the globe, but due to Sportingbet's licencing and marketing strategies membership is now only open to a fairly limited/exclusive group of bettors.

PAYMENTS AND CASHING OUT WINNINGS AT CENTREBET BOOKMAKER

Centrebet
accepts bets in Australian dollars, Euro, Danish Kronor, and Norwegian Kroner. Residents of Australia can only use the sportsbook not the casino or poker room due to Australian licensing restrictions.

DEPOSITS - There is no minimum deposit at Centrebet. Payment methods available include: Bank cheques, telegrapic transfers, Bank Transfers, BPay, Poli, Ukash, Click2Pay, Neteller, PayPal, Moneybookers, PaySafeCard, Przelewy24, Credit Cards (Centrebet is Verified by VISA and is a Mastercard SecureCode site for transaction security), Debit cards: Maestro, Visa Delta, Switch, Solo and Visa Electron. Credit Card deposits may incur fees (depending on your bank & location).
WITHDRAWALS - You can withdraw all or some of your account balance at any time, there are a few rules, nothing unusual, and payments usually take between 1 and 5 days depending on the method. Bank transfers, Click2Pay, Neteller and Moneybookers all work really well. No betting tax is deducted and the only fees that you may incur are your own bank's, not Centrebet's.

JANUARY 2012 JOIN BONUS AND BETTOR PROMOTIONS

Australians: Just open an account at Centrebet, place your first bet, sports or racing and you will automatically get a Bonus Bet token to the same value as your first bet, up to $200. Using your bonus bet is easy - just click on " use bonus token" in your bet slip when placing a bet. Other offers apply for bettors from other countries. Centrebet web site is geotargeted so click through for your offer.

CENTREBET BETTING COVERAGE

Centrebet offers fixed-odds betting on world-wide sports plus selected mainstream horse racing events and covers over 4000 sports and racing events each week. In partnership with gaming industry giant Playtech, Centrebet also offers excellent online poker and a suite of online casino games playable through the one betting account.

Centrebet is especially good for UK and European football betting, and Scandinavian football coverage - even down to Divisions 2 and 3 for most countries - which is great during those long hot summer months when no one else is playing football!   Live (in-play) betting on NBA, NHL, EPL, NRL, AFL and more. No Asian Handicaps though.

WHAT GOONERSGUIDE.COM LIKES ABOUT CENTREBET

1. Often very competitive odds
2. No minimum deposit and it's easy to join - and to cash out your winnings.
3. A very friendly service team and a 'no BS' approach to offers on site and betting terms and
conditions. (Their 40 years of betting shows through!)
4. One betting account for sports betting, Poker (on the Playtech iPoker Network) and top
casino gambling. (But not if you're an Australian as you can't play games or casino)
5. Centrebet accepts big wagers - and are flexible to accomodate high roller and system betting.
6. Centrebet supports a good range of payment methods, debit cards, credit cards,
     Moneybookers... (our personal favourite)

WHAT WE DON'T LIKE ABOUT CENTREBET SPORTSBOOK

1.  No Asian Handicap betting
2. A huge range of "forbidden jurisdictions" due to licencing constraints and marketing decisions trying to drive you to join Sportingbet bookmaker instead (who GoonersGuide.com does not rate!)
3. Australian punters can bet on sports and racing but not play poker or casino games at
    Centrebet due to licensing restrictions

OVERALL VIEWS AND RATING OF CENTREBET

Centrebet offers excellent betting coverage, and historically has been an especially useful bookie over the Summer months for great Scandanavian football betting. They have a good reputation as being 'above board' and offer a wide selection of secure payment methods - we highly recommend Centrebet to Australian punters.

We believe that any serious punter should have at least 5 bookmaker accounts. Otherwise you are giving away up to 10% in winnings - because you simply do NOT get the best price or offer.
