Railway boys probably played their worst match under Yury Semin in NalchCik, but still got away with a win. Lokomotiv’s passing was nowhere to be seen, the speed was gone and players seemed to be careless about the proceedings.
However a 65th minute penalty shot from Dmytry Sychev brought visitors all 3 points and extended the unbeaten run to 8 games. Dmitry Torbinski made a full debut after a lengthy lay-off and did not convince. He could be sent to the bench to allow emerging talent Alan Gatagov start from first minutes.
Central defender Rodolfo did not feature against Spartak due to a slight knock, but he is expected to take his place sending Basa to reserves. Brazilian fantasista Vagner was carried of on a stretcher following a torn muscle and is a major blow for Yury Semin, although I don’t consider him to be an integral part of Lokomotiv’s mechanism. Romanian midfielder Razvan Cocis should again start on the right flank of defense.
Moskva
Moskva is loosing ground in the battle for top-3 finish. Miodrag Bojovic’ is without a win in last 4 outings adding a 0-2 home loss to Amkar Perm’ a week ago.
Moskva dictated proceedings during all 90 minutes, but failed to keep out an early goal from set-piece situation and a 2nd with 2 minutes to go in the match. Miodrag Bojovic went on to call this Moskva’s best performance of the season, perhaps trying to lift the fading spirits of his squad.
Defensive midfielder Alexey Rebko is suspended for the match in Cherkizovo and this will be a major head ache for Bojovic as the youngster has been one of the vital figures for Moskva this season. Another important figure in the center of the park Branislav Krunic is carrying an injury.
Taking into account all recent problems in the championship - transfers of defensive duo Jean Narde and Ilic to reinforce the defensive line become especially illogical. Definitely what Moskva lacks at the moment is the depth in attacking and midfield lines.
Betting Advice
Although I personally ask myself when Lokomotiv will stop their impressive run - I can't imagine them losing to Moskva at Cherkizovo. Loko's home form has been very good this season.
Visitors are without key midfielder Rebko and central defender Epurianu. Moreover Moskva is not doing well in games against top teams of the league - only Spartak is an exception.
I hope previous match against Spartak Nalchik was just a bizzare incident and Loko will keep on going.
