Borussia Dortmund
Stuttgart ended Borussia Dortmund`s victorious twelve games unbeaten run by a convincing 4-1 win at home in the last round, which might be a good thing for BVB not to relax just yet and to start over with good performances again.
They are just six points behind the leaders but they need to start winning again in order to put more pressure and keep up pace with Bayern and Schalke.
There will be some changes in the team from the line up last week, which is expected, and coach Klopp will not put the Hungarian International playmaker Tamas Hajnal in the starting line up who started in all previous matches, but he will get his chance from the bench.
The Polish International Jakub Blaszczykowski will miss this match due to injury (strained groin).
However, good news for the team is the return of Mohamed Zidan who was away with the Egyptian national team and is in great form. He will be partnered up front with Lucas Barrios.
Sven Bender is doubtful for selection as he still has problems with his knee injury.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt have surprised everyone with the way they play and they sit at the great sixth place at the table which is way better than they have expected prior the start of this season. Their position at the table promises a comfortable second part of the season and they can play without any pressure which is a good thing.
The coach of the team Michael Skibbe is a former player and trainer of Borussia Dortmund and he knows the team very well but does not have as many quality players as his opponents. The team got a good acquisition last month by bringing Halil Altintop from Schalke who is expected to boost the attack. In his first match since arrival he showed a good and committed performance but failed to score.
The team will play with only one striker up front and one behind him, Alex Meier will start as most offensive player but he has not scored in some time now, while Altintop will be used as offensive midfielder so Eintracht Frankfurt will take more defensive approach in this game.
Last week Eintracht Frankfurt lost 1-2 against FC Koln at home and they will have a tough task again against Borussia Dortmund as they will miss some players which will additionally weaken the team.
Coach Skibbe can not count on the services of Umit Korkmaz and Brett Emerton who are out through injuries.
The Betting Verdict
These teams have played a total of 75 games, from which Borussia Dortmund were winners in 35 matches and Eintracht Frankfurt have won 25 times. Last match between rivals ended in 1-1 draw.
Borussia Dortmund are in better form and i expect them to bounce back quickly after last week`s convincing loss. They still have a shot at the title and they will probably manage to get an important win here.
Eintracht Frankfurt will probably be satisfied if this match ends in a draw and will try to surprise the hosts with counter attacks, but Borussia Dortmund players are too experienced to slip up twice in a row after successful run of twelve games unbeaten.
