Analysis:The highlight of tonight's encounter will no doubt be the return of David Beckham to Old Trafford but at the end of the night it remains to be seen who will go through from the last 16 Champions League encounter between Manchester United and A.C Milan.
Since his £25million move to Real Madrid in 2003, David Beckham who wore the famous number 7 jersey will step foot at the Theatre of Dreams once again. There is a mutual respect between David Becjham and Sir Alex Ferguson and they have rebuilt the broken relationship that caused the former's departure to Real Madrid then, although he belongs to LA Galaxy, he is currently on loan to A.C Milan.
As it stands n ow Manchester United holds a 3-2 advantage from the first leg in Milan and Ferguson has even stated that Beckham could possibly not even start this match due to him being out of form. The ex-England captain may well begin the encounter among Milan's substitutes, but this is unlikely to stop from what promises to be a fascinating European night between these two great sides.
Ferguson has gone on record to state that they will not defend their lead but rather go on to attack Leonardo's side, who themselves know that they need goals if they are to progress to the quarter-finals.
However, this is not the same Milan side that won two Champions League trophies in the last decade and their summer-appointed manager's inexperience has been exposed at times this season as city rivals currently leads the Serie A comfortably as well.
The bad news for Milan is that Wayne Rooney who is on top form this season, has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the win against Wolves last weekend and will start this match tonight.
But we will see the return of veteran right-back Gary Neville as Wes Brown has broken a bone in his foot and is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines. In midfield we will see the likes of Antonio Valencia, Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes and Park Ji-Sung while Edwin van der Sar should start in goal and Dimitar Berbatov may well partner Rooney upfront.
As for the visitors Milan, they will look towards Ronaldinho to inspire them here. Ronaldinho once almost jouned United few seasons ago but then opted for Barcelona and then now he is with A.C Milan. Alexandre Pato has been included in Leonardo's 22-man squad despite being out last weekend in the goalless draw with A.S Roma in Serie A with a hamstring injury.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will start if Pato is not ready while Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Ambrosini and Alessandro Nesta are all players who can cause much harm if not checked by United's defenders.
