Yep, I'm stickin' with this yet again.
NEW YORK YANKEES
The Yankees may have won last night to square the series but I don't see them being a favourite here, especially by this much. The man on the mound for the Yankees will be Phil Hughes, and there are a few issues for him tonight in Toronto.
First off, statistics reveal he is a fly baller, and with the roof open in Toronto, that could be a problem against a big hitting side like the Blue Jays. Toronto lead the MLB in home runs this season, and they have a lead of 22 over the next big team in that department. Dominance. Second, stamina is an issue for Hughes, with him never going past 6 innings since the AS break. And last, but not least, this is the 3rd time he plays Toronto since the first week of July. That's too much familiarity, and I reckon he gets hit all over the place.
TORONTO BLUE JAYS
Brett Cecil goes for Toronto, and the leftie is a solid competitor. He dominated the Boston Red Sox in Boston recently and his record against the big teams in the AL such as the Red Sox, Tampa Bay, and tonight's opponents the Yankees is 4-0 with a 1.69ERA!
The Yankees offence will be without the likes of Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher and I think the rest of the team just hasn't got it in them to get enough runs here. Remember, the Yankees aren't as hot on the road against winning teams and with a win yesterday, this becomes a value pick too.
