Tom Tomsk obviously lacks consistency in recent weeks as a successful match is followed by a set-back. Although the overall level of their game is publicly admired.

After losing 0-2 on the road against run-away Premier League leaders Zenit, Tom welcomes back key-striker Artem Dzyuba and important central defender Jokic who both missed the trip to Saint-Petersburg the other week.

Influential offensive figure Kharitonov is suspended alongside supporting defender Smirnov II.

Return of top-scorer Dzyuba is a massive boost for the team, which struggled so much for the finishing touch against Zenit. After departure of another important striker Sergey Kornilenko to Rubin Kazan in August, Dzyuba has become totally irreplaceable.

The arrival of Japanese midfielder Matsui from French side Grenoble looks as a very promising transfer move as he had impressed during the debut in St. Petersburg.

Suspended Kharitonov shall be substituted by either S.Kovalchuk or more experienced Skoblyakov.

Lokomotiv unexpectedly upset CSKA Moscow a week ago and has revived hopes of finishing inside the European Cup zone. Yuriy Semin is in upbeat mood now as he is hungry for more victories. Not much has changed in Lokomotive’s game, actually, in terms of quality. So it's too early to speak about team’s rebirth.

Lokomotiv has a full strength team as neither Maicon or Asatiani can be considered important absences. Return of team legend Dmitry Loskov from Saturn seems to have positively affected the tense atmosphere in Lokomitiv's dressing room.

Team looked very vulnerable at the back prior to the match vs. CSKA. But, honestly speaking, Army-Men did not set any difficult tasks. So the recorded clean sheet broke a trend of 3 conceded goals per/game.

Offensively the Lokomotiv team also has issues to solve as goals continue to come almost exclusively from set-pieces, such was the case vs. CSKA.
