Match of the week as Manchester United welcomes Liverpool to Old Trafford and the highlight of this match surely has to be the presence of Luis Suarez when they both go head to head in this match.

Suarez's return from an eight-match ban for racially abusing Red Devils defender Patrice Evra will see him enter this match with a lot of unwelcome noises from the home fans. But with plenty of stakes for both sides, neither can afford any slip ups here.

As it is now the Red Devils are two points behind leaders Manchester City but could go to the top for 24 hours with a win here. Manchester United is strong at home with 29 wins from their last 33 Premier League games at Old Trafford. They have, however, lost four of their last seven top-flight meetings with Liverpool and were beaten in the cup clash between the two sides the last time they met.

Liverpool pushing hard for a top four finish will be glad at their most recent win over Manchester United. However in their last match they were held to a draw by Tottenham in their last outing and have won only one of their last five in the league. That return leaves them seventh in the table, four points away from a Champions League spot.

But it needs to be said that Liverpool do have a tendency to raise their game playing against Manchester United, though, with only Chelsea (five times) having tasted success at Old Trafford on more occasions than the Reds (four) during the Premier League era. Under Steven Gerrrad they have a player who has a good record against United and has scored four times in his last five meetings with United.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Tom Cleverley will be involved at some stage in this match. The midfielder has been sidelined with an ankle injury since October, but he is expected to at least make the bench in this fixture.

Chris Smalling is also back in contention, but Nani (ankle), Anders Lindegaard (ankle), Nemanja Vidic (knee) and Michael Owen (thigh) are all out. Phil Jones will not feature but could start against Ajax in the Champions League.

Liverpool Team News :
Liverpool have no fresh injury or suspension coming into the game. Suarez was named on the bench for the goalless draw with Tottenham and Dalglish must decide whether he stays on the bench or will start this match against United.

Spanish full-back Jose Enrique is hoping to return after a hamstring injury and he will be checked upon before the start. Meanwhile, Lucas Leiva remains the only long-term absentee in the Liverpool side
