Chelsea goes into this match with Basel, knowing it is still not over yet as Basel can still cause an upset in this match. Chelsea came away with a 2-1 win in the first leg, but it was achieved right at the end.
The Blues took the lead in the 12th minute through Viktor Moses and initially it looked to be headed as a 1-0 win for Chelsea. However then in the 87th minute Basel got a controversial penalty and looked to have rescued the draw when centre back Fabian Schar converted to make it 1-1. But in the 94th minute, David Luiz scored from a 25 yard free kick to give Chelsea the last minute 2-1 win. Basel would have been satisfied with a draw and the goalkeeper should have done better to saved it in fairness.
Chelsea also managed a 2-0 win over Swansea in their last match but knows they have two tough games coming up against Manchester United as well as Tottenham if they are to finish in the top 4.
Meanwhile, Basel comes into this match on the back of a 3-0 defeat at home to Luzern but luckily for them Grasshopper also suffered an unlikely defeat as they still hold a 3 point lead at the top of their domestic league.
Basel have to score two goals if they are to win, but Chelsea knows a draw or even a one goal win is good enough for them.
