Real Zaragoza are battling to stay in the La Liga and initially their four years stay in the top flight looked to be coming to an end after they failed to win any of their 15 matches of the season, picking up just five points from a possible 45 in the process.
However, they have managed back to back wins over Real Mallorca (3-2) and Rayo Vallecano (3-0) and now they believe they can avoid the drop. The back to back wins have liftem them out of the relegation zone and if they can get another win here against out of form Levante, then they can climb to 15th in the standings ahead of the weekend matches.
Real Zaragoza striker Helder Postiga who once played for Tottenham in the Premier League, is happy that his side is scoring and they have managed to scored six goals in their last two games. Though Postiga admitted they have not achieved anything yet, but they have started to win matches which is the most important thing in football.
Postiga was quoted as saying that:
"We need to continue winning. We depend on ourselves and that's important, and we need to continue along this path."
Meanwhile, Levante have not been playing so well in recent matches. Their last five results have seen four defeats and a draw against bottom club Mallorca.
Levante seems to have done just about enough to avoid the drop. At the moment thay are situated in 12th spot and with nine points above third-bottom Deportivo La Coruna with four games to play.
Levante Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez said:
"I think that 41 points is a good amount to be safe, but the teams are pushing hard behind us and we've gone several weeks without a win. Let's see if we can beat Zaragoza and then we can forget about all that."
It will not be so easy as that compared to Zaragoza who are battling against their lives to stay up.
