Analysis:

Juventus enters their last home match of the season determined to get a win regardless the fact that their opponents are Catania and needing a win themselves to stay in Serie A. They will be eager to bounce back after defeat in their last match and get a win in front of their home fans even.

Juventus have done well in their first season in Serie A since gaining promotion and have also qualified for the Champions League qualifying stages. Now after the 1-0 defeat to Siena in their last match, they will want to get a win in front of their fans after a long season. They know that the cheers from their fans would be even greater with a win here than a defeat or a draw against Catania who have been winless away from home this season.

Juventus players such as defender Giorgio Chiellini and captain Alessandro Del Piero are also hoping to put in a good performance in the hope they would get call ups to represent Italy in the Euro 2008 in June.

For the visitors Catania, their defeats against Udinese, and crucially, Reggina have put them once again in the balance and they could be relegated if results go against them in the other matches. Worse for them is that they are hosting Roma on the final day and that is not an easy match for them by all means. Walter Zenga’s job is on the line as he nedsa draw from either today’s match or the last match against Roma to stay in Serie A.

In their last meeting, Juventus needed a stoppage time penalty from Del Piero in Week 18 to grab a 1-1 draw and avoid their first defeat in Catania in 43 years. Now they will want to make home advantage and fan support count when they face at the Stadio Olimpico.

Crucially for Ctania they are missing their striker Gionatha Spinesi for the rest of the season. They also have many players who risk being suspended if they get another yellow card. But given their exit at the Coppa Italia at the hands of Roma this match could be very tiring and too hard for them to handle here.

Watch out for Pavel Nedved as well as Allessandro Del Piero to give a good performance and steer the home side to win here.
