Analysis:

Valencia 2nd in the standings with 50 points travels to meet Malaga bottom of the standings with 20 points with some 30 points separating these sides. The problem with Valencia in this match could be over-confidence due to the league position of their opponents but they need to get the win here and chase Barca at the top who yesterday managed to win yet again beating Deportivo by 3-2.

If we look at Malaga's last six matches, they have been poor, losing 5 out of the last 6 games they have played. In their last two matches their defence conceded a total of 7 goals without reply even. Their last match they were beaten by Athletico Madrid who are currently in 9th spot by 5-0 so you can imagine how Valencia would fare against them here. If that wasn't bad enough Malaga lost their last home match against Real Mallorca in 16th spot by 2-0.

A further look at their home matches and they have in their past four home games only managed to win once out of four, beating Athletic Bilbao 2-1. Their othe rmatches against Mallorca, Celta Vigo and Cadiz have all ended in 2-0 defeats.

As for Valencia, there is a real need to get maximum points here after dropping two points in the draw with Getafe in their last match at home. Their travels have seen them won 3 out of their last four away games with only the 0-0 draw against Athletico Madrid failure to bag the three points. They managed to beat sides such as Sevilla, Deportivo and Sociedad in their three previous matches away from the Mestella.

No doubt about it but go for Valencia here and give the 3/4 ball away here.
