Analysis:A.S Roma will hope to overcome the dissappointment of the 2-2 draw against Ascoli in their last match when they travel to visit Udinese in this tricky tie. Not much separating both as Roma are currently 3rd while the home side Udinese are 4th in the standings.
In actual fact Roma were lucky to get off with the 2-2 draw in their last match with Ascoli as they were rescued in injury time by Philippe Mexes. They wasted their chances as Francesco Totti didn't converted a penalty in that match to draw level much earlier.
In fact their draw with Ascoli was their second consecutive draw in a row after the draw with Chievo 1-1 prior to that at the Stadio Olimpico. Before those two draws they were beaten by Reggina 1-0 away from home, so the Giallorossi cannot afford another slip up here.

Udinese are doing well as they are unbeaten in their last six matches coming into this tie with 2 wins and 4 draws. However their last two macthes have been draws against Empoli and Inter and that could be something they would regret not getting full points from.
Laquinta was on target for Udinese but they failed to hang on to their lead when Empoli managed to get the equalizer through Matteini just three minutes after thay had scored.
Since 2002 these sides have met 8 times. Roma won 2, Udinese won 2 and the remaining 4 ended in draws. Interestingly at Udinese when they were the hosts, the home side has managed just one win. The other ended in defeat and both sides played to a 3-3 draw last season.
