Scottish League
2007-08-11 - Falkirk vs Celtic
A Sports Betting Pick by AberdeenNo1
One game into the season and Falkirk find themselves top of the league, after a 4-0 win against new boys Gretna!
Meanwhile, Celtic were disappointing with a 0-0 home draw against Kilmarnock! Celtic always do seem to start the season very slow (remember Artmedia last season?!).
However, it is almost unheard of for Celtic to go two games in the SPL without a win.
For Celtic I expect Boruc to return ahead of Mark Brown in goals, and Killen to replace a very poor Zurawski.
Celtic did create some chances in the home game against Kilmarnock but without taking them, while Falkirk were taking every chance presented to them by Gretna.
Likely Teams :
Krul
Ross, Barr, Cregg, Scobbie
Moutinho Latapy Riera Thomson
Higdon, Milne
CELTIC
Boruc
Wilson, Kennedy, McManus, Naylor
Nakamura, Donati, Scott Brown, McGeady
Vennegoor of Hesselink, Killen
THE VERDICT
I feel that it will be tough for Falkirk to create chances against Celtic, and with Boruc back in goals for Celtic I can see a clean sheet again for the reigning Champions.
I really fancy Chris Killen to open his account with Celtic in this game if he starts, and Celtic to win 2-0.
The 1.55 available on Celtic looks good to me, as I just can't see Celtic going two games without winning in the SPL!
They have so much more quality thank Falkirk, and should win this game comfortably
The Pick :
Falkirk 0-2 Celtic
