My tip for the SPL this season continue their challenge to Celtic away at Kilmarnock. This will be already be Rangers sixth game of the season while for Kilmarnock it is game number three and their second home game of the season.
Head to Head
Rangers must like going to Kilmarnock as over the last ten meetings Rangers have always come away with at least a point and on most occasions its three.
Kilmarnock have managed however to get three draws over the ten games played but this is still a happy hunting ground for Rangers over the years.
I found the fixtures going back to 1994 and Kilmarnock have not won at home to Rangers in the 24 games I could find. Surprisingly Kilmarnock have managed to win four times at Ibrox during the same period.

I have seen Kilmarnock play twice this season out of three games they have played and to be fair out of these two games if they had come away with zero points they could not have had any complaints, however they find themselves unbeaten in three and 4th in the SPL with 7 points.
The first game of the season saw them go to the SPL champions Celtic and a game that I thought Celtic would walk. It ended 0-0 and this had a lot to do with Celtic being wasteful in front of goal rather than Kilmarnock playing great.
To be fair to Kilmarnock they went to Celtic with a game plan and it worked but it was one of those games that if Celtic had scored then I think the flood gates may have opened.
As for their first home game v Dundee Utd then this should have been zero points other than for a shocking decision by the ref when their was just under 10 minutes left and United winning 1-0 and Kilmarnock for me looking like a team out of ideas. However when the sending off occurred, Kilmarnock scored twice and won the game 2-1.
They also won 2-1 away at Motherwell on Saturday with a last minute winner and their manager Jim Jefferies said himself that they were lucky to come away with three points.

Rangers are my tip to win the SPL this season and I think the SPL crown will be once more at Ibrox. And after three wins out of three so far this season they are not letting me down.
Other than their 1-0 away win v Zeta, I have not seen them play this season and in that game they huffed and puffed and got there in the end.
However in the SPL they have started with a 100% record with their latest win at home a thrashing of Falkirk 7-2 on Saturday. Add to that a 2-0 home win v St Mirren and on the opening day a 3-0 away win at Inverness they Gers currently find themselves two points clear of Celtic at the top of the SPL.
Rangers have also played three times this season in Europe and all three games have ended in a victory, so that makes it six games out of six this season and in the process they have scored sixteen goals while only conceding twice (both v Falkirk).
However in saying that it was a last minute winner v Crvena Zevena .

The Verdict
It seems only yesterday that I thought that Kilmarnock would get hammered away at Celtic and the game ended 0-0, which meant I have been playing catch up all of August.
So I have to admit being a little worried about Killie doing me over again, but in saying that when I have seen them play this season they haven’t impressed.
Add into that Rangers are on fire in the SPL at the moment and will want to keep that little buffer zone ahead of Celtic; I’m going for a Rangers win here

Take Rangers to win at around 1.48It's not a great price for an away team, so be careful, as I found out in the Celtic v Kilmarnock game nothing is certain.
