2007-09-29 - Alabama at Florida State
A Sports Betting Pick by Luccin
Venue: Jacksonville, Florida
Recent matchups – 1st meeting since 1974
Alabama Crimson Tide
Bama have had a roller coaster start to the season, a comfortable win at Vandy, the great victory over Arkansas in a game that went back and forth and finally last weeks OT loss to Georgia.
A solid performance from the running game will be required, it would be unwise to rely on the pass against any ACC defence.
The Tide will need to put the narrow loss last week out of their minds and get back to the form that saw them win the first 3
Florida State Seminoles
The Seminoles were many peoples pick to win the ACC, this already looks unlikely after a poor defeat at Clemson in week 1.
Since that defeat FSU have managed to win both games but the offence really hasn’t managed to fire up yet. Quarterback play has been woeful and the team are currently ranked 90th on offence.
On the plus side the defence has been very resolute and are allowing a stingy 18 points per game.
The Verdict
Although supposedly being played at a neutral site, rumours suggest that as many as 80% of tickets have gone to Alabama supporters, the atmosphere should be frightening.
Alabama should have too much power for an unimpressive Florida State and expect them to win comfortably.
The Pick :
Alabama 24-14 Florida State
