England come into this match after winning back the confidence of their fans with their impressive 1-4 win in Croatia which has enabled them to start their qualification campaign for 2010 with maximum points. After failing to qualify for Euro 2008, England expects!

England will look to score goals and will be expected to win this game without too many troubles. They have won their first 2 qualification games, both away from Wembley, a 0-2 win in Andorra and the 1-4 win in Croatia. England have won 3 of their last 4 games at Wembley in competitive fixtures, however their last match there saw them lose 2-3 to Croatia. The previous 3 wins all came by the same 3-0 scoreline.

John Terry looks increasingly likely to miss the game through injury and I dont think he will be risked with Belarus in mind on Wednesday. I would expect Emile Heskey to start up front with Wayne Rooney and I dont think Fabio Capello will play a holding midfield player in this game.

Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan have high expectations of their national team as can be indicated by the fact they recently sacked their manager for under-performance. The FA of Kazakhstan have high demands and expect to be in the mix for a possible place at the World Cup in 2010.

They have not made a good start towards the FA's demands from the group as they have picked up 3 points from their first possible 9 in the group. After beating Andorra 3-0 at home, they were heavily beaten in Croatia before losing 1-3 at home to the Ukraine. All in all it seems they are still out of their depth at this level, although they did manage to beat Serbia in their last qualification campaign for Euro 2008. However they were comfortably beaten in Portugal and Poland in that qualification group.

I have no real idea about the Kazakhstan team and have no news about any injury concerns.

England will win this game and the real question remains as to how many goals they will score. The nation will expect a solid performance after their dismantling of Croatia last time out and England generally score freely at home in competitive international fixtures.

The Kazakhstan FA puts undue pressure on their side but even they will not be expecting anything but a defeat from this game. They have sacked their coach in recent weeks and im not sure the players will have the confidence to compete here.

England score goals at home, and Kazakhstan concede when travelling to the bigger nations in footballing terms, and I think England will win comfortably in the end
