Groningen is having a fine start, and are excelling at home. Won all 5 matches with a GD of 16-1. They're attacking from the first minute, and put so many pressure on their opponents they all eventually break.
The Groningen forwards are classy and can decide a match on their own, defensive they're fully focussed and they have a good mix of youth and experience.
On wednesday they had a cup match against Telstar, and after a slow start they qualified for the next round (3-0).
De Graafschap (16th 2-1-7 5:18)
De Graafschap are fighting for every point they can get, but that's all they bring.
They scored the least goals of all clubs this year, only 5 in 10 matches, and only twice in 5 away matches. So it's no surprise they only picked up 1 point away from home.
De Graafschap didn't have much problems beating the amateurs of WKE in the cup, but that's just another caliber then Groningen.
The De Graffschap defense is too slow and although they have a quality striker, they're just not capable of reaching him.
The Verdict
FC Groningen will play as usual, and will pressure right from the start. De Graafschap will try to put up a fight to take a point but when Groningen picks up their rhythm, de Graafschap has no chance.
When an early goal falls, what I'm expecting, this could be another 4/5-0.
