2009-07-03 - Bray Wanderers vs Bohemian
A Sports Betting Pick by Stephen
League Of Ireland
Friday 3th July 2009 - Kickoff 7.45
BRAY ( Home Rec : W2 D4 L2 )
The 2 week break is over and Bray Wanderers sit at the bottom of the League Of Ireland table on goal difference behind Drogheda and will face a tough battle to remain in the Premier Division next season.
Bray didn't get off to the worst start, drawing their first 3 games, and after 5 games, had only 1 defeat and also 1 win. However its been a very different story of late.
Since their shock 1-0 defeat away at Shamrock Rovers on 2nd of May, Bray have managed only 1 win in 7 and 5 of the other games have been defeats. They have also failed to score in 5 of those 7 games. The one victory came over Sligo with a 3-1 home win but were soundly beaten by Dundalk and Derry in the 2 games since.
And its been Wanderers awful away form that has them where they are. They have an away record of W1 D2 L 6 and managed only 4 goals. But Bray have made it difficult for some teams at their Carlisle Grounds home.
On Friday night they face league leaders and Champions Bohs and Boss Eddie Gormley knows that his side will have to be at their very best to have any chance of taking something from this game. Earlier in the season Bohs beat Bray by a 2-0 scoreline and could have been much more. Bray will be very much up against it in this one.
BRAY LAST 5 GAMES
Bray 0-2 Cork
St Pats 1-1 Bray
Bray 3-1 Sligo
Dundalk 3-0 Bray
Derry 2-0 Bray
BOHS ( Away Rec : W4 D1 L3 )
As predicted by many Champions Bohs sit at the top of the table but not by the margin many of us thought they would be. Second place Derry are only 1 points behind while both Shamrock Rovers and Cork City are within 5 points.
Bohs romped home to title last season by 19 points but have a few worthy challengers this time. While they have looked invincible at home their away form has been inconsistent and they have suffered 3 defeats on the road.
However of those defeats 2 came against top sides in Derry City and Shamrock Rovers while the very unpredictable St Patricks Athletic played their game of the season when they beat Bohs 3-1 last month. They also have only scored 9 away goals as opposed to 18 at home. Boss Pat Fenlon certainly be looking for his side to improve on that. Striker Jason Byrne has been on fire and has 14 goals in 17 league games.
But after Byrne the next best are Anto Murphy and Killian Brennan on 2 goals. Players such as Glenn Crowe who has earned a full International cap in the past and former Spurs forward Neale Fenn have yet to even hit form and if they do along with Jason Byrne could well pull Bohs away from the chasing pack. Bohs have won 4 out of their last 5 and did not concede in those 4 victories. They will be hot favourites for this one.
BOHS LAST 5 LEAGUE GAMES
Bohs 1-0 Drogheda
Cork 0-1 Bohs
Bohs 2-0 Galway
St Pats 3-1 Bohs
Bohs 2-0 Sligo
THE BETING VERDICT
Its a BOHS WIN for me and they are available at 8/13 to win.
Also consider them to win to nil also as they have won to nil in 11 out of 17 league games this season.
The Pick :
BRAY 0-2 BOHS
BEST BETTING TIP :
Take BOHEMIANS to win
