Both of these teams come into this Game 1 of the series with winning records on the season, but one is more of a surprise than the other. The New York Yankees (19-13) look to extend their lead in the American League East as they entertain the surprising Kansas City Royals (18-16) in the Bronx.

Second, they have scored 24 runs in their last 4 games since being blanked by Detroit and look like the bats are warming up again.
Third, the Royals have failed to score more than 2 runs in 3 of their last 5 games, all losses.
Fourth, I feel the Yankees have the edge on the mound tonight.
