BETTING PREVIEW

This is to be the final derby game between these two at Athletic Bilbao's "Cathedral", and I feel we should witness a game full of goals. Indeed, 3 of the last 4 games involving Bilbao have seen 4 goals scored.

Bilbao are now without a win in 3 games, and will be getting desperate to improve on 15th place, although it will be hard against 6th placed Sociedad, who come here off a 1-1 draw with Levante. Prior to that, Sociedad had beaten Zaragoza 2-1 away and put 3 past Mallorca. Bilbao shipped 4 without answer to Espanyol the last time they were playing at home, which should give Real Sociedad reason to be hopeful of 3 points.

I don't think Bilbao will win, as Soceidad have lost just 1 game out of their last 14, that too away at Real Madrid. The value certainly is on an away win in this one, and I urge you to consider the 3.28 on Sociedad to come out victorious.

I think the safest bet here is on the Overs though, as Bilbao continue to suck in defence, allowing 47 goals through 24 games. They should concede at least 2 here, if not 3, but I do expect them to get a goal at home in a derby game. Indeed, they have not lost at home against Sociedad since 2001, so expect them to at least have a say.

THE BETTING VERDICT

I was kicking myself in midweek as I had a big priced selection on anytime or first scorer in the Galatasaray match, but ignored it for another bet.

This time, I'll take my chances in the scorer market, as I feel we should see a goal from Chori Castro, a player who has scored 3 goals in his last 5 appearances for Sociedad.
