2006-10-14 - Vanderbilt at Georgia Bulldogs
A Sports Betting Pick by GoldFinger
While coach Bobby Johnson has made plenty improvements at Vanderbilt, Commodores have still been out classed by the Bulldogs, who have won last 11 games in this series, and have won the last 5 clashes by 16 points or more, including all four in the Jay Cutler era. After last week’s 51-33 shocking loss vs. Tennessee, Georgia are now fighting for its SEC East life, but the Bullbogs still have their destiny in their own hands as Florida have beaten Tennessee, and 5-1 Georgia still has to play Florida.
The Bulldogs are likely to own the rush game again in this series, and coach Richt was forced to open the playbook for “caretaker” sr. QB Tereshinski in last week’s loss.
The Georgia defence was humiliated last week in conceding 51 points - they were averaging just 7ppg prior to that game - and are sure to be re-focused to get into the Commodores’ young QBs.
Last year Georgia were -16 point favourites to beat Vandy and won 34-17, and so I'm surprised to see a smaller line now that Georgia are at home.
The Pick :
Georgia 31 - 3 Vanderbilt
