TSG Hoffenheim won only once in their last six Bundesliga matches but still sits at the relatively high seventh spot on the table. Last weekend, they lost 3-1 away to RB Leipzig, their second defeat in three games.

Winning this match is crucial for maintaining their European push and spending a calm winter before resuming with a match against the champions Bayern Munich in mid-January.

Regarding their away performances, SV Darmstadt 98 only beat Augsburg in their seven away matches, suffering five defeats.
