A Sports Betting Pick by Footie Addict
Here we go – soon League of Ireland will be one of the only leagues still playing, so we should all continue to follow it closely ... that way we can make some money throughout the Summer.Football: Republic of Ireland, Premier League

This appears to be a classic top side vs bottom side clash, with title chasing Bohemians taking on bottom of the table side Drogheda.
Bohemians have a strong record built on an incredibly miserly defense, conceding just 2 goals at home so far this season. Drogheda have been very poor this season, primarily due to financial hardships they endured last season, and pre this season.
Drogheda’s poor form reads a dismal W1 D4 L7 – and have lost to most top sides. While Drogheda’s last 7 form reads slightly better at W1 D3 L3 this is more a reflection on the quality of opposition played in the last number of weeks – no Cork, no Bohemians, no Derry (the top 3).
Bohemians have lost 2 of their last 3 games, losing 3-2 away to title contenders Derry, and 2-1 in a tight game vs 4th place Shamrock Rovers. Despite this, Bohemians have been beating all the lower level teams in this division, and continue to maintain a very decent defense, winning almost all of their games won so far this season to nil.
Here is the last 7 games form for each side, most recent game first.
Bohemians ;
L 2-1 vs Shamrock Rovers (A)
L 3-2 vs Derry (A)
W 5-0 vs Dundalk (H)
W 2-0 vs Bray (H)
D 0-0 vs Sligo (A)
W 3-0 vs St. Patrick’s
W 2-0 vs Galway (A)
Notice how all of Bohemians wins in this sequence were built on clean sheets.
Drogheda ;
D 0-0 vs Dundalk (H)
W 1-0 vs Bray (A)
L 3-0 vs Derry (H)
D 0-0 vs Sligo (H)
L 2-1 vs St. Patrick’s (A)
L 1-0 vs Galway (H)
D 2-2 vs Shamrock Rovers (A)
The Betting Verdiuct
I would be very surprised in Bohemians don’t come away with the 3 points here. They are the stronger team, they have home advantage, and they are playing a side who have a dreadful 1-0-4 away record, while conceding 15 goals and only scoring 5.
Should Bohemians score, they will probably go on to win....
BEST BETTING TIP :
Take Bohemians to win (2/9 – 1/4) in accumulators over the weekend – the bookies clearly fancy Bohemians too.For a bigger betting angle try Bohemians to win to nil, perhaps 2-0 or 3-0 correct scores at 5/1 or 7/1 respectively are fair value in my opinion also.
