Analysis:

After losing to Lazio in the Rome derby, that ended any hopes of them qualifying for the Champions League, so they will be out to redeem themselves against Lecce in front of their home fans.

Roma was beaten heavily by Lazio 4-2 in their last match as tensions rose between two camps as as Philippe Mexes, Christian Panucci and Coach Luciano Spalletti were sent off. Mexes received a three-match ban for his brawl with Francelino Matuzalem, while Panucci and Spalletti will be relegated to the stands for one match.

Roma are still missing the likes of Cicinho and Mirko Vucinic still injured so that means John Arne Riise looks set to take the centre-back role that he did so well in during the Champions League clash with Arsenal. Matteo Brighi might make way for Simone Perrotta as they look to get the goals here.

Lecce have also three main players out on suspension. Guillermo Giacomazzi, Raffaele Schiavi and Giuseppe Vives are all banned along with the injured striker Daniele Cacia. Salentini's position as coach is under threat as he picked up just one point since replacing Gigi del Neri as coach.

Lecce were unlucky to lose 3-1 to Sampdoria last weekend. Their call for a penalty was ignored by the referee and they also hit the crossbar and were denied by a goalline clearance.

But the statistics don't lie and the fact is that Lecce's last win was way back in 28th September. Then they produced a shock 2-1 win over Fiorentina. They had since then 11 draws and 10 defeats. With no wins to show. What is worse is that they conceded 53 which made them the joint worst defence.

But havign said that Lecce did produced some shocking results when they won 3-2 to end Roma's scudetto's hopes in 1986. It remains one of the biggest shocks in Olimpico.
