Analysis:This will be a battle at the bottom end of the table as West Brom hosts Wigan and both are battling against the drop.
Roberto Di Matteo's fifth-from-bottom Baggies are out of form having lost six of their last seven league games ahead of the match. But Roberto Martinez's side are no better either. They have not won in their last six matches since the 2-1 win at Wolves - to sit third-from-bottom in the table, three points behind the Baggies and played a game more.
West Brom have had more time to prepare for this match with their last outing was a 2-0 defeat at Blackburn on 23rd January, while the Latics have played twice since then, the latest a goalless FA Cup stalemate against Bolton on Saturday.
Steven Reid who is fit again goes into this match with a score to settle after Wigan beat them 1-0 back in November. But veteran Wigan goalkeeper Mike Pollitt, who played in the draw with Bolton on Saturday admits Wigan will also not want to get beaten in this clash.
As for the team news ahead of the clash, striker Carlos Vela is expected to make his debut for the Baggies after arriving on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season. The Mexican will add more bite to their attack which has netted only three times in the last four matches.
Midfielder Reid is back in the squad after recovering from his knee injury, while fellow midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu shook off a calf complaint to play in the defeat at Blackburn and is set to continue in this match.
Defender Jonas Olsson is also expected to start after starting against Rovers following three months out with an Achilles tendon injury.
For Wigan, their new signing Conor Sammon can not play against the Baggies after the Kilmarnock striker's arrival on transfer deadline day came too late to see him feature in the side.
But they will have the services of key on-loan players Tom Cleverley and Ali Al Habsi, who were retained in the transfer window until the end of the season. Martinez's side have also been boosted by the return of James McCarthy, Franco Di Santo, Victor Moses and Emmerson Boyce after long-term absences.
