Match Preview :

The big talking point on Monday Night Football as Liverpool welcome Tottenham is the return of Luis Suarez after serving his eight match ban.

The Uruguay international may be short of match sharpness after spending over a month on the sidelines, but he is expected to enter straight into the starting lineup by Kenny Dalglish.

Liverpool will aim to make a top four push and at the same time put a dent in the hopes of Tottenham in chasing for the title.

Looking at Liverpol's record at Anfield this season, it is enough to suggest that they should at least get a point in this match, as leaders Manchester City the only other side yet to taste defeat in front of their own supporters this season.

Despite yet to lose at Anfied, Liverpool have had seven draws there this season and know that those draws were the ones that have prevented them from moving higher up th league table.

Goals have also been something of a problem for Liverpool this season, with 28 netted in 23 games, but the return of Suarez wll help Dalglish with more fire power up front.

Meanwhile a win for Tottenham here would see them strengthen their position in third spot and would close the gap with leaders Manchester City to just five points.

It has to be said that Harry Redknapp's record against Liverpool as Spurs boss makes for impressive reading. That is because he has managed six wins from eight meetings in all competitions. Tottenham have struggled at Anfield in recent times, with a 2-0 win in May 2011 bringing to an end a 16-match winless run an Anfield.

Even though Spurs have won only one of their last four fixtures on the road, Tottenham will be hoping their good record against the Reds will continue here.

Team News :

Liverpool Team News :
Suarez is set to be named in Dalglish's side which mans he is set to start alongside Andy Carroll and Steven Gerrard.

Suarez has not played since Boxing Day, though, and may have to make do with a place among the substitutes before Dalglish decides to bring him on. Meanwhile, skipper Gerrard is back in contention having been rested for the midweek win at Wolves.

Tottenham Team News :
New signing Louis Saha could make his Tottenham debut at Anfield. However, the likes of Jermain Defoe (hamstring) is unlikely to play, Rafael van der Vaart is struggling with a calf problem and Emmanuel Adebayor hobbled off during Tuesday's win over Wigan with a hamstring complaint.

Aaron Lennon (hamstring) is extremely doubtful, William Gallas (calf) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) are unavailable, but Kyle Walker (groin) and Ledley King (knee) should be fit once again to start.
