BETTING PREVIEW
Huge game for Chelsea as they look to get themselves a top 4 finish, and they must win to keep the pressure up on Arsenal and Tottenham, who both won 1-0 on Saturday.
Champions Manchester United had their hopes of a record points haul dashed when held 1-1 by Arsenal, but they still have a chance at revenge here, against the team that knocked them out of the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup.
Chelsea won the most recent meeting 1-0 in the FA Cup replay following a 2-2 draw here where they fought back from a 2-0 deficit. Prior to that they met on the Capital One Cup, winning a crazy match 5-4. The league meeting, at the Bridge, ended 3-2 to United.
Chelsea have picked up some momentum, so will have some confidence from a 5-2 aggregate win over Basel in the Europa League, along with the 2-0 result against Swansea. Goals have not been a problem, and Luiz has been particularly good, scoring in both legs against the Swiss. I think it might be an idea to look at him again in the goalscorer markets.
Despite all the goals Chelsea have have scored against Manchester United this season, this is still a team that has won 15 of 17 at home, so will be hard to take points off.
Persie banged in a hattrick here to clinch the title with a win against Villa, and was on target again against Arsenal when he took a penalty. Would not bet against him scoring here. Hernandez is another good selection as he has scored in 6 of his last 8 meetings with the Blues.
So, again, bit difficult to pick a bet, but I think the goals market is the way to go. I expect a fair few at both ends but that has been priced down.
THE BETTING VERDICT
I think we are going to see early goals in this one. In their last game, United gave up the lead early and got their equaliser before the break, and I notice there have been early games in most of their recent games.
I think we get the same thing here, and I'll bet on there being at least 2 goals in the first half.
