Analysis:

Juventus goes into this match hoping that they can catch up with A.S Roma ins econd spot and an automatic Champions League qualification as well. Juventus have been performing well as A.S Roma stumbled to a draw in their last match Juventus have managed four wins in their last five matches and have closed the gap to five points with four games to play.

Juventus will hope that A.S Roma will lose concentration as the Scudetto is out of their grasp and with Captain Francesco Totti out of their side through injury closing the gap could be possible now. If Juventus could overtake A.S Roma for the second spot then they can save their troubles by having to go through the qualification rounds.

Lazio are not the same side that played in the Champions League last season and are now struggling to stay in mid table. Their last win was the Rome derby against A.S Roma which they won 2-1 on the 19th March. That was followed by three draws and two defeats to the likes of Fiorentina and Catania.

Lazio’s defeat last weekend was quite painful as it also meant the loss of Ousmane Dabo who was handed a two match ban. Luciano Zauri and Cristian Ledesma were also handed suspensions. Then Valon Behrami is doubtful with a thigh injury while Rolando Bianchi is still not fully fit. This means that we could likely see the likes of Gaby Mudingayi, Roberto Baronio and Aleksandr Kolarov come into the starting eleven here.

As for the home side Juventus, they will be without the likes of Vincenzo Iaquinta, Alessandro Birindelli and long-term absentee Jorge Andrade. They will have Momo Sissoko and Giorgio Chiellini who did not play in the 4-0 demolition of Atalanta. The player to watch out here will be Alessandro Del Piero who has impressed enough by scoring three goals and could find himself playing for Italy in the Euro 2008 once again.

For the likes of Pavel Nedved and Guglielmo Stendardo who are former Lazio players this game will be something special for them to face their former clubs. For Stendardo, the defender only left Rome in January following a blazing row with Coach Delio Rossi, but he did apologize to Rossi and said he is willing to return to the side.

For the record, Lazio does not have a good run when they come to Turin for a visit. They have only managed eight wins and 16 draw in as many as 63 visits there. They were beaten 6-1 four time, the last being in 1994, but recently Lazio have played much better when they traveled there and their last meeting ended in a 1-1 draw.

Watch out for Juventus Allessandro Del Piero here, to inspire them to a win. However on the handicap, I will go for Lazio not to lose more than a goal here.
