Analysis:Rangers will attempt to reach their first European final since 1972 and it has now been 36 years since they won a major European trophy but they still have a chance despite the goalless draw at Ibrox last week, as they are still battling to get the better of Italian side Fiorentina and play in the final which will be on English soil in the city Manchester, England.
A scoring draw would be enough for the Scottish side to progress by virtue of the away goals rule and even though their recent results have not been impressive, now is the time for them to raise their game against Fiorentina.
Rangers are five oints behidn Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title but they have three games in hand and still can win it. They do have a chance to land four trophies this season, although that seems to be a tall order with the number of games they have been playing and taking its toll on them.
They will miss the services of Allan McGregor, Lee McCulloch and Charlie due to injuries, but defender David Weir has travelled with the side and could yet play some part despite picking up a groin strain in Sunday's Old Firm defeat to Celtic. Steven Davis may also feature after recovering from a groin problem and he has also received a major boost with the availability of skipper Barry Ferguson and Kevin Thomson who has returned from suspension.
As for the home side Fiorentina, they have vowed to attack from the start and get the win here. Their Coach Cesare Prandelli are unlikely to make many changes but Marco Donadel could come in for Zdravko Kuzmanovic.
Their danger players to watch out here will also be Adrian Mutu who is set to partner Mario Alberta Santana upfront.
