Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is located in Wales, approximately 180 miles from London, 15 miles from Chester, 25 miles from Shrewsbury. It's the only Racecourse in the country that doesn´t have a Grandstand - it does have a great atmosphere though with an excellent grass viewing bank providing a natural amphitheatre. It's set in glorious countryside and overlooked by the Welsh hills.
HOW TO GET TO BANGOR-ON-DEE RACECOURSE
By road: Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is easily accessible via the motorway and trunk road network, the racecourse is situated just 5 minutes from the A483, 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes south of Chester. Via the A525, A4-Entrance off B5069. There is ample free car parking at the racecourse.
By rail: Euston to Wrexham (4 miles) courtesy bus on races days.
By air: Helicopter to the course (on application)

THE BANGOR-ON-DEE RACECOURSE
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is a left-handed jumps racecourse and from 2002, Bangor-on-Dee has joined up with sister track, Chester Racecourse, so you can also enjoy flat racing.
Over the course of the year, there are 15 fixtures spread throughout the four seasons. Also see Chester Racecourse, sister course of Bangor-on-Dee for great Flat Racing meets.
Bangor-on Dee Racetrack also runs Point-to-Point meets. Point-to-Pointing is an amateur and exciting form of steeple chasing that takes place on the inner course at Bangor-on-Dee.
