Goodwood Racecourse is located approximately 66 miles from London, 32 miles from Brighton, 20 miles from Portsmouth and 32 miles from Southampton.
HOW TO GET TO GOODWOOD RACECOURSE
By road:
Goodwood Racecourse is 4 miles north of Chichester and can be acccessed via the A27, A286 or the A285.
Take the A3 from London, at Milford Roundabout take the A286 via Haslemere and Midhurst. Before Chichester, on leaving Singleton village, take a left turn over Downs to the Racecourse.
From Southampton and Brighton take the A27 to Chichester
By rail: The nearest station is Chichester. There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1hour, 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available to/from Chichester Station on racedays.
By air: Chichester Airport is approximately 2 miles from the Course and is suitable for private aircraft. Helicopter landing facilities are available on request at the racecourse.
ADMISSION TO GOODWOOD RACECOURSE
There are three enclosures at Goodwood (Richmond, Gordon & Lennox), all overlooking the Racecourse and offering views of the Sussex Downs. Prices vary from meeting to meeting (£10 - £40). It is highly recommended to pre-book the Festival Meeting. Freephone for bookings: 0800 018 8191. All children 16 and under and admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Public Car Parking: £5-£8
Richmond Enclosure racegoers should use the No. 5 car park at the West Entrance. The Gordon and Lennox Enclosures are best served by car park Nos. 8 and 9 near to the East Entrance. Car park Nos. 9 and 11 are free of charge although there is further to walk to the entrances.

The 6 Furlong course at Goodwood is nearly straight. Races over 2 miles, 1¾ miles, 1½ miles and 1¼ miles start on the loop and join the straight via the top bend, but 1 mile 1 furlong, 1 mile and 7 furlong races rejoin the straight course via the lower bend. Draw Advantage: none
