Follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing the horse and ride from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city. Newcastle Racecourse is on the outskirts of Gosforth adjacent to The Marriott Hotel.
By bus: There is a complimentary bus hopper service from Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday. The service runs from approximately two hours prior to the first race up to the first race.
After racing the free bus hopper service runs up to 1 hour after the last race to both Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday.
ALternately, outside the Regent Centre at the bus stop straight in front of you, you can take the 42, 43, 44, 45 service.
By rail: Kings Cross-Newcastle Central, Metro to Regent Centre (bus to course)
By air: Newcastle International Airport is situated 6 miles from Newcastle Racecourse. If traveling by helicopter please contact the Racecourse Office on 0191 236 2020 Landing facilities are available for helicopters on course.

Flat: the Newcastle racecourse is a left-handed oval of about 1 ¾ miles with a straight run-in of ½ mile gradually uphill with a level 200 yards at the finish. A straight 8 furlongs (1 mile) joins the round course at the run-in. Draw Advantage: Low numbers on the straight course, if soft; if ground firms horses drawn in the middle appear disadvantaged. NH: Left-handed oval circuit of 1¾ miles with a gradually uphill. straight finish of 3 furlongs. Run-in 240 yards.
