Windsor Racecourse is situated 28 miles from London, 19 miles from Reading and 59 miles from Southampton. It is a flat course of approximately 165 acres, 1¼ miles from Windsor Castle and the two Railway Stations.
HOW TO GET TO WINDSOR RACECOURSE
By road: Racecourse postcode for SAT NAV: SL4 5JJ
From the North and East: Exit the M25 motorway at J15 joining the M4 West Slough and Reading.
Exit the M4 at junction 6 signposted Slough Central, Windsor A332, Eton. Take the first left following the A332 to Windsor.
Take the slip road signposted A308 and Windsor Racecourse.
Take the third exit on the roundabout towards A308 Maidenhead Road.
The entrance to the racecourse is on the right hand side on the Maidenhead road.
From the West: Exit the M4 motorway at J8/9 signposted Maidenhead.
Join the A308 towards Windsor.
At the roundabout junction with the A308(M) continue straight ahead.
At the next roundabout continue straight ahead onto the Maidenhead Road.
Continue along this road and the entrance to the racecourse is on the left-hand side.
From the South: Exit the M3 motorway at J3 signposted Woking Bracknell and Lightwater.
Take the first exit at the roundabout following the A332 towards Windsor.
Follow the A332 through Ascot towards Windsor.
At the next roundabout go straight across following the A332.
At the next large roundabout take the first exit signposted Windsor racecourse and Legoland.
Continue along this road passing Legoland on the left hand side.
Continue straight on this road when you reach a set of traffic lights turn left following signs to the racecourse.
At the roundabout go straight across and then immediately take the slip road left signposted A308 Maidenhead.
At the roundabout take the first exit onto Maidenhead Road following signs to the racecourse.
The entrance to the racecourse is on the right hand side on the Maidenhead road.
By rail: The nearest stations to the racecourse are Windsor and Eton Central, Windsor and Eton Riverside and Slough. Trains run from Paddington and Waterloo to these stations. Taxis are available from all stations.
By boat: A river taxi service operates for all race meetings from Barry Avenue Promenade, opposite Browns restaurant, in Windsor Town centre. This is just a short walk from the Windsor train stations. The river trip takes approximately 10 minutes and there is a full bar facility on board.
By air: Helicopter landing facilities on course are available by prior arrangement (trainers/owners only)
ADMISSION TO WINDSOR RACECOURSE
Club Enclosure £23; Grandstand £17; Silver Ring £8 - accompanied children under 16 free. Silver Ring Picnic Carpark £8 per car plus £8 per occupant (Discounts available on some prices when booked online).
All these areas have Tote betting facilities, bookmakers, bars, catering facilities and allow access to the Centre of the Course Car Park: £6, Balloon Meadow Park free.
Flat racing takes place at Windsor 26 times a year from April to October.
