Chester Racecourse, the oldest racecourse in Britain, is located approximately 207 miles from London, 91 miles from Birmingham, 19 miles from Liverpool and 40 miles from Manchester.
HOW TO GET TO CHESTER RACECOURSE
By road: The M53, M56, M6 and A483 are all in close proximity to Chester providing excellent links from Liverpool, Manchester, North Wales and the south of England. The Racecourse is signed from all the major routes into Chester on racedays.
By rail: Euston to Chester General. The train station is an easy 20-30 minutes walk from the Racecourse through Chester city centre. There is also a bus service available on race days.
By air: The nearest airport with helicopter and light aircraft landing facilities is Hawarden airport, Deeside. Helicopter landing is permitted at the Racecourse by prior arrangement.
ADMISSION TO CHESTER RACECOURSE
Ticket Prices & Badges: vary based on the meeting. Accompanied children aged under 16 are admitted free. Car Parking: on the Open Course and only for cars with a car pass. Car passes can be purchased in advance from the ticket office or from pay lane booths on race days. Car passes range from £7 to £10 depending on the race meeting.
