Denmark
The Danes have performed very well at these European Championship and a place in the last 8 is there if they draw with Germany and Holland avoid defeat. Or if they beat the Germans and score enough goals to ensure the goal difference is more than Portugal's.
In their first game the Danes beat Holland in a snatch and grab win thanks to a Krohn Dehli winner. The Danes rode their luck a little as Holland created a host of chances only for poor finishing and poor final passes to elude them a goal.
Up next against Portugal the game was completely open, Portugal raced into a 2-0 lead but soon found themselves at 2 a piece. The Danes had looked to have secured a point here but then a late Varela winner sunk Danish hearts as the Portuguese secured an important win.
The problem for Denmark is that they now face one of the two favourites knowing a draw is probably good enough. Yet, Germany will want to secure top spot and Denmark may find it hard to match Low's side over 90 minutes.
The good news for Denmark is that they have scored in every game so far and did so in qualifying. The team has goals in them, my biggest fear is that will they keep the Germans out at the other end.
Germany
The Germans look very strong right now, with 6 points from 6 a draw will secure top spot and eliminate Holland. However, I don't the fact that Germany will collude to knock the Ducth out. Low's side will want to keep their winning momentum going and I expect a strong performance on Sunday evening.
Germany just edged out Portugal in their first game thanks to a Gomez winner in the second half. For long spells Portugal looked to frustrate Germany and it was working, however once the goal came I didn't expect Low's side to drop points.
The Dutch were very poor in game 2 and only started to threat Germany after a superb solo effort from Van Persie in the second half. The German's raced into a 2-0 half time lead here, again thanks to Gomez and the Bayern striker has quickly got over his Champions League heartache. The Dutch never recovered and eventually lost 2-1 in what look damage limitation rather than a real sporting spectacle between the two sides.
Betting Verdict
Denmark are always good for a goal and I fancy at least 1 from the Danes on Sunday. The question is whether that will be enough. I fully expect a goal from Germany, with 3 goals in 2 games and Gomez on fire this side at least has a couple of goals in them.
With Portugal looking poor going forward v Germany but then relatively strong v Denmark I think a better attacking side in Germany will be a stronger threat. Ozil is playing great and there's tons of creativity and movement from Muller and Podolski as well to keep Denmark busy.
The 1-1 is a worry but I think we should see 3 if not 4 goals in this one and as a result I'm taking overs. Denmark can't play like Portugal sitting back against Germany because they will be picked off in my opinion. They attack,so do the Germans and as a result we have a cracking game of football.
