Swansea City stumbled to a second defeat on the trot in the Championship on the weekend following a 2-0 loss away from home at Middlesbrough and having previously been dealt a 1-0 loss at home by lowly QPR, The Swans look like they are wobbling right now.

Indeed, the bigger picture shows Swansea City have managed to capture just four wins out of their last 15 matches overall in the Championship, only two of which were registered on home soil by way of victories against Blackburn Rovers and arch-rivals, Cardiff City respectively.

However, within these previous 15 games Swansea City have been dealt no fewer than eight defeats during this period and therefore the hosts just cannot be trusted to produce a positive result here especially after losing five of their last seven home games.

Stoke City extended their mini revival to three games in the English second tier with a 2-2 draw at home with play-off candidates West Brom on the weekend which followed a win and a draw as The Potters look to lift themselves further away from the relegation zone during these midweek fixtures.

An impressive previous 2-0 win away from home at Hull City was followed up with a point in a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town, so the visitors may well fancy their chances against a directionless Swansea City outfit here on Wednesday night.

However, Stoke City have recently suffered four defeats on the trot on their travels, suffering losses at the hands of Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Leeds United respectively so the visitors also have no guarantees of success here.
