Roma’s impressive and solid looking 19-game unbeaten sequence in the Italian top flight was brought to a sudden halt last week when they were handed a 2-1 loss away from home at Atalanta, but Claudio Ranieri’s side will hold home advantage for this upcoming clash with 8th placed visitors, AC Milan.

Roma had previously registered no fewer than 14 victories within their preceding 19 games in the domestic top flight, eight of which have been achieved on home soil at their Stadio Olimpico, so the hosts will fancy their chances of bouncing back with a win in what is their final home game of this season’s Serie A campaign.

Having chalked up nine wins within their last 11 home games, Roma look set for further success here as they look to not only beat off challenges from the chasing teams such as Bologna and AC Milan, but to also overhaul Lazio and Juventus in the race for a possible top four finish.

AC Milan will make their way to the Stadio Olimpico seeking a fourth win on the trot in Serie A following previous victories gained at the expense of Venezia, Genoa and Bologna respectively.

However, AC Milan are still recovering from three straight defeats inflicted upon them by Torino, Bologna and Lazio respectively from towards the end of February through to the start of March which resulted in the visitors losing ground on the top six clubs in the table.

With just a further two losses within their subsequent nine games overall though which also includes picking up six important wins, AC Milan are now three points within reach of their upcoming hosts ahead of Sunday night’s vitally important encounter.
