Norwegian Eliteserien side Rosenborg will no doubt be eager to make the most of home advantage at their Lerkendal Stadion when they take on Swedish Allsvenskan visitors Hammarby in this 1st leg tie of the 3rd qualifying round of the Conference League on Thursday night.

Within these four victories, Rosenborg routed Lithuanian outfit FK Banga 7-0 on aggregate thanks to a 5-0 thrashing on home soil at Lerkendal Stadion in the 1st leg and manager Alfred Johansson will be urging his players to produce more of the same on Thursday night.

Swedish visitors Hammarby bring a four-game unbeaten run into this 1st leg tie in Trondheim on Thursday night which includes a valuable 2-1 win in extra time away from home at Belgian club Sporting Charleroi which sealed their progress into this 3rd qualifying round.

The wider picture shows Hammarby have suffered just the single loss in their last 10 games in all competitions but trips on the road at Conference League level have been less convincing.

Indeed, Hammarby have lost three of their last four away ties in this competition having suffered defeat on the road at the hands of Cukaricki, Basel and FC Twente respectively, and they even needed extra time to get across the line at Sporting Charleroi as well.
