Under the guidance of head coach Torsten Lieberknecht, Kaiserslautern has shown mostly excellent performances this season. They won three of their first five 2.Bundesliga matches, which is a promising sign that they can be one of the dark horses this season.

In their recent 0-3 away victory over Greuther Fürth, Lieberknecht made bold decisions, such as starting Naatan Skyttä in place of captain Marlon Ritter. Skyttä repaid the faith by scoring the opening goal in that match.

Additionally, striker Mahir Emreli was omitted from the matchday squad to motivate him to improve his performances in training. These coaching choices obviously had a great impact on the team as they dominated last week.

Last week’s game was Kaiserslautern’s third straight match ending with at least three goals scored. They also won both of their home games so far this season, against Schalke 04 and SV Darmstadt 98, which makes them solid favourites in this match.

Preussen Munster

Preussen Munster has had a mixed start to the season, losing twice, winning twice and drawing once in their five 2.Bundesliga matches. Their recent form includes a 1-2 away win at VfL Bochum and a 1-2 home defeat against Fortuna Dusseldorf last week.

Preussen Munster was a relegation candidate last season, and I believe a lower-table finish is once again on their cards. They showed attacking intent and brave displays so far, but are pretty vulnerable when defending. They conceded in all the games they played this season, so they are leaking everywhere they play.

Defender Paul Jaeckel has been a cornerstone of their defense, providing leadership, but he has already racked up three yellow cards and lacks a bit more support.

Regarding how their games have developed so far, five of Preussen Munster’s last six matches have ended with three or more goals scored.

Kaiserslautern is a strong side at home, where there is an intimidating atmosphere that not even some Bundesliga sides have.

Kaiserslautern are still a bit shaky, but are slowly stabilizing and winning three of five games so far is actually pretty good.
