They have taken two of the three games in this series and the New York Yankees (87-68) will be looking to secure the win over this American League East rival. Importantly, they are chipping into the lead of the Toronto Blue Jays at the top of the Division with just 2 games between these teams and the Yankees will be confident they can really put the pressure on if they can win on Sunday.

Following the completion of this series with the Baltimore Orioles (73-82), the Yankees will be facing the Chicago White Sox and they can really put some momentum behind them in the final week of the regular season. Manager Aaron Boone is not thinking about a Divisional crown, but the confidence could be invaluable even if the Yankees have to play in the Wild Card Round of the post-season.

The Yankees will give the ball to rookie Cam Schlittler who has a 3.41 ERA and a 3-3 record in the twelve starts made this season.

After a really strong August, Cam Schlittler ha had a few issues in September and has allowed four earned run in two of the three starts made. This is a slight concern with any rookie and whether they have hit the wall in the first season in the Major League, but Schlittler can thank this New York batting lineup for offering up ample support.

He will be pitching against the Baltimore Orioles for the first time and Cam Schlittler will need to be at his best to duel with a starter returning from Tommy John Surgery.

Kyle Bradish has really looked the part for the Orioles in 2023 and 2024, but his time was cut short last season and that Surgery has meant missing much of 2025.

However, it has looked like he has not missed a beat with Kyle Bradish producing a 1-1 record and 2.45 ERA in his four starts in 2025.

He has completed 22 Innings in the four starts made on his return and Kyle Bradish is going to be seen as a huge part of the starting rotation for the Baltimore Orioles next season.

Stronger run support would have helped Bradish on his return, but that was there for him last time out as he earned his first decision win since the 8th June 2024. This has been an issue for the Orioles in recent games as Kyle Bradish faces the New York Yankees again having compiled a 1-1 record and 3.24 ERA against them in five previous starts.

The Yankees have won four of the last five games against the Baltimore Orioles so the home team will need a big outing from their starter.

Prediction

Any Major League fan has to be excited about seeing Kyle Bradish not only back in the rotation, but looking like he is picking up right from where he left off in 2024 when heading in for Tommy John Surgery.

He has been a big miss for the Orioles and can give Baltimore a chance, but the lack of runs is a concern and it may just offer the New York Yankees the chance to win another game and keep the pressure on the American League East leading Toronto Blue Jays.
