TSG Hoffenheim has been wildly unpredictable so far. Their record is two wins, two losses, and a draw, and they never showed a similar performance from one week to the next – it was always totally different.

Last week, TSG Hoffenheim played a 1-1 away draw against SC Freiburg, which was a fair result.

It’s probably good that the International break comes after this weekend, as Koln are clearly out of shape.

After winning their opening two Bundesliga games against Mainz and SC Freiburg, Koln remained winless in three games ever since, losing the most recent two.

A 1-2 defeat by VfB Stuttgart came last week, in a match where they lacked a bit more energy and chances to do more. That was also their third straight Bundesliga game in which they conceded twice or more.

Speaking of goals, six of Koln’s most recent seven games ended with at least three goals scored.

The Betting Verdict

TSG Hoffenheim has an excellent overall record of 13 wins, 8 draws, and only 5 defeats against Koln.

More recently, TSG Hoffenheim remained unbeaten in five of the last six duels against their opponents, winning three and drawing twice.

Both teams have identical seven points after five Bundesliga matches, but Koln is definitely in worse shape than TSG Hoffenheim. Three straight winless games, two defeats in a row, three games in a row with 2+ conceded goals clearly show that Koln are not going through a good period.
