Barrow will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to six games on Saturday afternoon when they take on play-off hopefuls Grimsby Town at Holker Street after picking up three wins along with two draws in recent weeks.

Barrow had previously picked up wins against Walsall 2-1 away from home in League Two together with cup wins over the likes of Nottingham Forest U21 in the EFL Trophy and a 2-0 win on the road at non-league outfit Spennymoor in the FA Cup 1st round last weekend.

The bigger picture shows Andy Whing’s side have been dealt just the single loss in their last nine matches across all competitions which consists of five wins and three draws, so The Bluebirds will feel confident about their chances here on Saturday.

Grimsby Town currently occupy 6th place in the League Two standings and they too have produced encouraging wins recently in cup competitions; a 3-1 home win against Ebbsfleet United in the 1st round of the FA Cup was followed by a 5-3 win against Everton U21 in the EFL Trophy, both of which were at Blundell Park.

However, The Mariners have lost two of their last three games in League Two which came in the form of losses to Colchester United and Crewe Alexandra which outweighed a narrow 1-0 home win against 9-men Gillingham in-between.

Grimsby Town also possess an unconvincing looking away record of 3-2-2 12/12 so the visitors are by no means guaranteed a result at Holker Street on Saturday.
