After having had to endure a tough but ultimately miserable four-match losing streak in all competitions, Rennes made it back-to-back wins in Ligue 1 last weekend when Franck Haise’s side registered a 3-0 win away from home at Auxerre to help lift the upcoming hosts up into 6th place in the domestic top flight table.

Rennes had previously collected an impressive 3-1 home win against the Ligue 1 leaders PSG, so Franck Haise’s side need to be respected here on Saturday afternoon when they play host to mid-table visitors Toulouse at Roazhon Park.

Saturday’s hosts had earlier been handed losses in Ligue 1 by the likes of Lorient, Monaco and Lens, two of which were away from home, but an overall home record of 6-3-2 22/12 should be strong enough to give Rennes a decent chance of at least avoiding defeat in this upcoming encounter.

Toulouse sit in 10th place in the Ligue 1 table which is perhaps about right as the visitors hold an overall record of W8, D7, L8 so far in this season’s Ligue 1 campaign, while recent results show Carles Martínez’s side have failed to win any of their last three matches in Ligue 1.

Defeats at the hands of Angers and Le Havre, both of which were away from home, were followed by a 1-1 draw at home with Paris FC and their inconsistent streak has been evident on their travels this season as well.

Indeed, an away record of 4-2-5 13/11 indicates another potentially tough trip on the road on Saturday afternoon against Rennes.
