Bayern Munich have already shown two very different sides in Europe. They swept Bodo-Glimt aside 5-0, then needed a second-half comeback to rescue a 3-3 draw against Viking FK.

The six goals conceded across their last three matches against Augsburg, Viking FK, and RB Leipzig exposed a problem Vincent Kompany cannot afford to ignore against Arsenal.

Saturday's 6-1 win over RB Leipzig was a strong response. Luis Díaz scored a hat-trick, and Harry Kane found the net again, giving Bayern Munich plenty of attacking confidence before this test. Kane has also scored in nine straight UEFA Champions League matches, including twice against Viking FK. I'm confident he will get on the scoresheet in this game as well.

Michael Olise's red-card suspension takes away one of Bayern Munich's main creative players. He has been a major source of chances in Europe, so the Bavarians will need other players to provide the service Kane usually thrives on. Jamal Musiala's availability is another concern, with the midfielder listed as out with a thigh injury in the latest team-news reports.

Besides those, Manuel Neuer was not guarding the goal last weekend with a foot problem. Jonas Urbig did an almost perfect job as his replacement against RB Leipzig, and Neuer’s absence came at a good time given his foolish, costly mistakes lately.

Another thing we shouldn't overlook is Bayern Munich's record at the Allianz Arena. They have won 9 consecutive UEFA Champions League league-phase home matches and have lost only once in their last 31 home games in the competition. Still, Arsenal's ability to keep possession and defend without giving much away makes this a tougher task than the RB Leipzig scoreline might suggest.

Arsenal have made a much cleaner start to their UEFA Champions League campaign. Mikel Arteta's side won 0-1 away to Napoli, then followed up with another 3-0 clean-sheet win over Lille. They have also won their last 14 UEFA Champions League league-phase games, a run that gives them a strong platform heading into Munich.

The key question is whether Arsenal can keep Bayern Munich's forwards away from dangerous areas. Bayern Munich will look to attack quickly and get Kane involved early, but Arsenal have the midfield quality to slow the game down and make the hosts work for openings. Bukayo Saka remains an important player on the right, while Martin Odegaard can help Arsenal turn possession into chances between the lines.

Arsenal will have defensive concerns of their own. William Saliba is listed as unavailable with a back problem, while Piero Hincapie has an ankle injury. Losing Saliba would be a significant setback against Kane, particularly if Bayern Munich manage to isolate Arsenal's remaining centre-backs and deliver the ball into the box.

I expect Arsenal to give Bayern Munich a much harder game than RB Leipzig did last weekend.

Bayern Munich's attack is in good shape, but the recent draws against Augsburg and Viking FK showed how quickly their defense can come under pressure. Arsenal have looked solid in Europe, though missing Saliba could give Kane more room to work.

For me, it’s a tough game to back a winner, but I can see goals.

My pick is Over 2.5 Goals at 1.62. Bayern Munich are likely to create a lot of chances at home, and Arsenal have the pace and quality to punish them if the hosts leave space.

The price is playable for me, although I would check the market again before betting.
