This game is live on TV
Bodo/Glimt
The late goal scored in North London has just given Bodo/Glimt some hope of overturning the deficit and taking their place in the Europa League Final later in the month. At 3-0 it looked over, but 3-1 feels a lot different and especially as Bodo/Glimt have been much stronger at home than they have been on their travels.
They may have been beaten in the Champions League Qualifiers, but Bodo/Glimt have shown remarkable composure and determination to progress through to the Semi Final of the Europa League. This is a team that have used the conditions at their home Stadium to wonderful effect and Bodo/Glimt have to be respected having won 9 of 10 home European ties played this season. Most impressive is that they have scored so many goals in those home games and that makes them a real threat.
Bodo/Glimt had been unbeaten in 3 games in all competitions following the Penalty Shoot Out win in Rome over Lazio in the Europa League Quarter Final, although that run was ended pretty emphatically last week at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The side have won their last 8 home games in all competitions and Bodo/Glimt have scored at least twice in all of those wins.
Patrick Berg, Hakon Evjen and Andreas Helmersen are all available after serving suspensions last week.
Tottenham Hotspur
The entire focus for Tottenham Hotspur and their manager is on the Europa League and Ange Postecoglou has to be a little frustrated that this tie has not been firmly put to bed. His team dominated the First Leg and could have scored more goals, but it is the late goal conceded by Tottenham Hotspur that feels like it has left the door ajar.
They do head to Norway having lost 1 of their last 4 away Europa League ties played and Tottenham Hotspur have to take some confidence from the 0-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Quarter Final. However, Spurs were beaten 1-0 at AZ Alkmaar in the Last 16 First Leg and there is a considerable amount of work to get through if they are going to be travelling for the Final in Bilbao.
Tottenham Hotspur played out a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium on Sunday to the dissatisfaction of both sets of supporters, but the Europa League is the priority. They have won 1 of their last 7 away games in all competitions and Tottenham Hotspur have suffered 5 defeats in that run,
James Maddison picked up an injury in the First Leg which could rule him out for the remainder of the season. The hope is that Dominic Solanke will be fit to travel and the manager will restore a number of key players that were rested at West Ham United. Heung-Min Son will be given all of the time he needs to recover and travel with the squad.
Head to Head
This is the first time these two clubs are meeting in a competitive fixture played in Norway.
Prediction
With the First Leg moving into the final ten minutes, most Tottenham Hotspur fans would have been hoping a strong performance would be capped off with one more goal.
Unfortunately for those fans, that goal was scored by Bodo/Glimt and all of a sudden a 3-1 lead does not feel insurmountable.
Bodo/Glimt will take confidence from the fact that three important players are back from a suspension and from how difficult visiting teams have found playing in their home Stadium. The artificial turf takes some getting used to, but it is also played in very tough conditions and that has found out so many already this season.
The home team have played with real confidence here and have scored plenty of goals in winning home ties in the European competitions they have entered this season. And this is not a team that have only benefited from kind draws with the likes of Twente, Olympiacos and Lazio all favoured to get the better of Bodo/Glimt, but punished in Norway.
Tottenham Hotspur are going in without James Maddison, but they are an experienced team that showed character in winning 0-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Quarter Final. Ange Postecoglou will need all of that again, but that late goal conceded hangs over their head and this is going to be a tough test for a team that has struggled for much of the campaign.
It really would not be a big surprise if the Tottenham Hotspur fans are put through the wringer in this one and Bodo/Glimt look a solid underdog to back with a start on the Asian Handicap lines.
