PREVIEW
Boise State are 10-1 for the season and host the 1-10 New Mexico Lobos in the last regular season game for the Broncos, to be played on the blue home pitch. QB Kellen Moore isn't done breaking records, and I expect a huge game from him.
Moore is now the all-time leader in wins for a QB at the FBS level with 48. He is the first player in the NCAA to have 4 seasons with 3,000 total offensive yards and 3,000 passing yards. He needs just 132 passing yards to move past Hawaii's Colt Brennan for 5th place on the all-time yardage passing list. Last week, Moore had an interception returned for a TD but bounced right back with a 279 yard performance including 3 TDs. That takes his current streak of games with multiple TDs to 24.
In addition to that dangerous passing attack, Doug Martin got the Broncos another 153 yards on the ground, including 2 TDs. Martin has 1,038 rushing yards so far, giving him back to back seasons rushing for over 1,000 yards.
New Mexico have their 1 win for the season, against UNLV and will come here knowing they are going to get savaged. When the Lobos travelled to play TCU, they ended up getting tonked 69-0 and have been giving up an average of over 47 points on the road. Boise will be looking to make a huge statement due to their loss and only a devastating performance here will help, if at all. If all goes well, Boise could well put up all the points themselves.
With records still to be set, there is no chance this offence backs off, even when up by loads late in the game. Boise State are getting ready to wave farewell to Moore and the team will want to give him as much as they possibly can.
BETTING VERDICT
Moore has 38 TDs so far and needs just 1 more to set a new MWC single season record. I say he throws more than just the 1. Prepare for fireworks.
