PREVIEW
Another excellent result for Swansea last weekend, as they beat Fulham, but you'll notice all 4 of their wins have come back in Wales. Away from home, they are atrocious.
At home, Swansea have conceded just twice in 8 games. Away, they have given up 18 goals in 7 games! Go past that win over Fulham and check out their last away match, at Blackburn, where they shipped 4 goals and lost, only the 2nd team to do so against Blackburn. What kind of crap side would ship 4 goals and lose to Bla...oh.
Anyway, Newcastle aren't exactly happy either, although they have only just suffered a few losses after a truly terrific start to the season. Newcastle lost 3-0 to Chelsea and then last week got beaten 4-2 by Norwich. The goals were leaked thanks to a banged up defence, shorn of Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini. The result is 11 leaked goals in their last 4 matches. What I was encouraged by was the fact this game was played away, and that they did fight and score 2 goals.
Demba Ba was the man on the scoresheet last week, as he netted twice at Norwich. I'd say he is a great bet this week to score at St. James Park, as the visitors bring the 2nd worst travelling defence in the Premier League. You can get Ba to score anytime at close to even money and a lot more if taking him as opening scorer, another great value bet. Ba has scored 11 goals this season, accounting for almost half of Newcastle's 21 goals this season!
BETTING VERDICT
I was going to go with Newcastle United to grab the win here, but I am worried by the way they have shipped goals recently.
At the same price, the Overs looks a great bet, but we need 3 for that to hit, and I've found a bet requiring just 2 goals. They have to come from Newcastle, but against Swansea, that should not be a problem.
