Eintracht Frankfurt is in excellent shape, unbeaten in four Bundesliga games. However, their last 2-2 draw against TSG Hoffenheim was a setback after they previously won three straight.

Eintracht Frankfurt also lost 2-0 to AS Roma in their Europa League match on Thursday, so they should be more focused now in this game against tricky Wolfsburg. They are still firmly holding to their third spot on the table, but their advantage is melting.

The positive thing for Eintracht Frankfurt is that they are one of the best attacking sides in Germany, regularly scoring at least twice in their matches. They are also one of the best home teams, remaining unbeaten in eight of their nine home games (six wins, two draws).

Wolfsburg’s high-scoring game against Holstein Kiel in the last round was their seventh game from the last eight, ending with three or more goals scored.

Wolfsburg is a good away team overall this season, but lately, they have been poor, losing twice in their most recent three Bundesliga trips.

Wolfsburg’s attacking midfielder Patrick Wimmer was the best player last week when he scored once and assisted once in the match against Holstein Kiel. Unfortunately for Wolfsburg, he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season and is suspended for this match.

I expect Eintracht Frankfurt to return to winning after failing to win their last two competitive games. They still have some comfort over the fourth and fifth-placed teams, but they cannot relax that much.
