In the Bundesliga, Heidenheim is third from the bottom, having lost all its last four matches. Incredibly, they have lost at HT/FT in eight of their last ten Bundesliga games, so they are really bad.

Before the start of this round, Heidenheim sits four points behind safety. That means this game is highly important for points because they are running out of time. Only 14 points so far is too little at this stage, and they must start a positive series.

Mainz has been playing terrifically at home this season but not so much at away grounds. They have lost four of their last five away games, including all of their last three at away stadiums.

The Betting Verdict

Points are important for both teams with opposite ambitions. Mainz is certainly the favorite, but their recent displays have been mostly poor, and they have lost all their last three on the road.

Heidenheim's midweek away win against FC Copenhagen significantly boosted their confidence, and maybe this game will turn things around for them in the Bundesliga.

The odds for the home win are valuable, but I would also add the draw as a possible outcome, backing Heidenheim on a double-chance bet.
