Millwall will be glad to be returning to the nation’s capital and more precisely The Den for Saturday’s encounter against Portsmouth especially as The Lions were dealt a second away defeat on the trot last weekend in the Championship with a 1-0 loss at the Stadium of Light.

Recent results in the English second tier have seen Alex Neil’s side produce a mixed bag of returns as The Lions have registered four wins, two draws but have also slipped to four losses as well within this period.

However, although Portsmouth still remain a threat at home, the visitors still continue to look vulnerable on the road and this is underlined by the fact that Pompey have managed to collect just one win from their last 14 outings on the road which came in the form of a 2-0 win away at Oxford United.

The visitors have also slumped to no fewer than 11 defeats though as well within these previous 14 away games and along with failing to score in seven of these 14 games, the visitors have also conceded two goals or more on nine occasions.
